1. Air Filter Maintenance
The air filter prevents dust, sand and dirt from entering the engine cylinder.
- Check the air filter every 8 working hours.
- Clean the inner and outer filter elements every 100 working hours or more often in dusty conditions.
- Replace the filter element if it is damaged, oily or cannot be cleaned.
- Do not use compressed air with excessively high pressure to avoid breaking the filter paper.
Ensure the housing and seal are installed tightly to avoid unfiltered air entering.

2. Fuel Filter Maintenance
The fuel filter removes impurities from diesel and protects the fuel injection system.
- Drain water from the sediment bowl daily before starting the machine.
- Replace the fuel filter element every 250–300 working hours.
- Use genuine filters to ensure filtering accuracy and flow.
- After replacement, bleed the air from the fuel system to ensure smooth start.
3. Oil Filter Maintenance
The oil filter cleans lubricating oil and reduces engine wear.
- Replace the oil filter together with engine oil at each oil change.
- Normally replace every 250 working hours; shorten interval in severe working conditions.
- Pre-fill new filter with clean engine oil before installation.
Tighten properly to avoid leakage or filter damage.

4. Hydraulic Filter Maintenance
Hydraulic filters protect the pump, motor and valves from contamination.
- Inspect suction filter, return filter and pilot filter regularly.
- Replace hydraulic filter elements according to the maintenance schedule.
- Check for clogging indicator; replace immediately if triggered.
- Keep the surrounding area clean when replacing to avoid dirt entering the system.
5. General Maintenance Rules
- Always use genuine or high-quality filter elements.
- Follow the operation and maintenance manual of the road roller.
- Shorten replacement intervals when working in dusty, muddy or severe environments.
- Record maintenance hours and replacement history for better management.
- Regular filter maintenance improves fuel efficiency, reduces wear and avoids major failures.
By carrying out timely and correct filter maintenance, you can keep the road roller in good condition, improve work efficiency and lower total operating cost.
